Symantec Executive Sean Maxwell Appointed as Chief Commercial Officer at Absolute VANCOUVER, Jan. 5, 2016 /CNW/ - Absolute® Software Corporation (TSX: ABT) the industry standard for persistent endpoint security and data risk management solutions, today announced that technology industry veteran Sean Maxwell will join Absolute as Chief Commercial Officer on February 1, 2016. Maxwell will also become a member of the Absolute senior executive committee, reporting to Geoff Haydon, Chief Executive Officer. "We are excited to welcome Sean to the Absolute team. He is a seasoned information security executive with a proven track record in leading global sales teams," stated Haydon. "Sean has produced consistently positive results throughout his career and we know that Absolute will benefit greatly from his leadership and vision." Most recently Maxwell was Vice President, Global Sales Strategy & Field Enablement at Symantec. In this role he was responsible for global sales and go-to-market planning – from defining the sales strategy to delivering quarterly results. He also led the sales training and enablement functions.
